COLLEGE PARK -   Patrick Wojahn, an attorney and community leader, announced his campaign to be the next Mayor of College Park.


“I started my professional career and my family in College Park. I love our city, and so, with the support of family and friends, I have decided to run for Mayor. I want to continue to make this great city an even better place to live for all our residents.”


Patrick has a long history of community and civic engagement in College Park and has already earned the support of various community and political leaders. These include current and former City Councilmembers such as Stephanie Stullich and PJ Brennan, as well as Mark Shroder and Dave Milligan. Patrick also has the endorsement of current Mayor Andrew Fellows. 


"Patrick has shown his dedication to our community through his tireless advocacy and innovative ideas," said Calvert Hills Community Leader John Rigg. "He would make an excellent Mayor."


Patrick has served in leadership roles with a variety of service organizations, such as College Park Food Bank, Equality Maryland, and a variety of organizations advocating for the rights of people with disabilities. He has been recognized and awarded for his involvement throughout the city and state.


Patrick, a graduate of Georgetown University, where he earned his law degree in 2002. He currently works as the Director of Government Relations at Rails-to-Trails Conservancy and has represented District 1 on College Park’s City Council for 8 years. When he is not volunteering throughout College Park, Patrick enjoys biking and jogging and plays piano. He has been married to husband Dave for 10 years.


With the recent announcement that College Park Mayor Andrew Fellows would not run again, Patrick was approached by local business and community leaders and encouraged to run for Mayor. Patrick is happy to announce his candidacy as mayor of the city he loves and calls home. As mayor, he will continue to make our city safer, greener, and an overall better place to live for everyone.
